My 5 Favourite Brunch Locations in Adelaide

Adelaide, South Australia

There are many great places in Adelaide to enjoy a good hearty brunch (breakfast/lunch). However, below are 5 of my current favourite places to indulge at:

1. Café Komodo, Prospect

This hidden alley-way gem is easily missed, but absolute gold when it comes to providing any kind of sustenance. It’s filled with quirky, funky décor and the staff are some of the friendliest in town. If you aren’t a morning person, they even cater for the night-owls on Friday nights with dinner and live music. Go there hungry and have The Big Komodo Plate or looking for something a little lighter try the Komodo Feta Bruschetta. I’m also occasionally partial to the Five Bean Chilli Nachos with Pulled Pork…

2. The Brady Brunch Café, North Adelaide

Located on Melbourne Street, this small venue is always busy as it is just soooo damn good! So, make sure you book a table in advance, even it’s just for 2. I recommend the Smashed Avo, the Brekky Nachos, and the Kale By Carol, or you know what… just about anything on the menu!

3. Mister Sunshine’s, Thebarton

This place is literally sunshine! Make sure you get a table outside so you can boogey along to the old school classic tunes whilst sipping on the amazing ethically brewed coffee. My favourite to order is the Shakshuka Baked Eggs or The Avo Show. Not a coffee lover? Then get yourself a fresh juice or smoothie combo. After brunch make sure you check out the products on offer as you can take home their coffee, jams, sauces and dukkah!

4. Folklore Café, Port Adelaide

Sitting on the dock of the bay… Well, not quite. But the views of the port are gorgeous on a sunny day. Watch the kayakers and rowers paddling past as you sip on a silky-smooth coffee and enjoy a wholesome meal. My favourite to order is the Mushroom Ragu. Table for one please…

5. The Loose Caboose, Hindmarsh

This treasure can be found in the Bowden Railway Station, Australia’s oldest heritage listed railway station. Now converted into a unique café to serve up local South Australian produce. The coffee is divine, and I recommend the Haloumi Brioche Bun, Big Boose, or the Sticky Hoisin Pork…

So, now it’s your turn… Where is your favourite place to brunch in Adelaide?
